All Evan Wants For Christmas is His Two Front Teeth, and a Chocolate Fountain
This past Thanksgiving Evan walked around wiggling his loose tooth before the big dinner. We all were pretty bothered and some of us maybe were screaming, covering our eyes and ears and mouth (Strange gross out habits). My Dad, Evans Grandpa or Boompie as the kids call him was asked by Evan to yank it out for the tooth fairy. We all sat in agony as they went up to the bathroom. In the end Evan had two teeth pulled, horrifying I know. Then he chowed down on a Thanksgiving dinner, well who are we kidding it was mostly the Turtle Pie I brought.
Just this past Sunday I asked Evan a huge question.
Aunt Jayne: Evan, would you rather have Santa bring you a Chocolate Fountain or all the toys you asked for?
(Hugest grin in the world forms on Evans face and his eyes grow large)
Evan: CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN! (while nodding excitedly)
The boy sure does love his sweets! Maybe that's why he's such a sweetie.

Two Girlfriends for the little Ladies Man
Desirie called me on my cell to tell me this story:
Evan: Hey Mama, when I grow up maybe I can have a girlfriend like Kyle...
Desirie: Yeah maybe one day
Evan :... Maybe I can have two girlfriends...yeah... (starts staring off and thinking about it intensely)
(Desirie explained that the previous day Kyles girlfriend came to the house with a friend, and Evan assumed they were just both his girlfriends).
So I immediately asked to speak to Evan
Evan: Hi Aunt Jayne! I have a pretzel in my hand and mama has a cookie
Jayne: What's this I hear about you wanting 2 girlfriends!??
Evan: (started talking so fast I could hardly understand) but I pulled out 2 separate things, "Yeah I want girlfriends" and "I want to kiss them badly"
Jayne: Oh I think one is enough, Kyle just has one girlfriend, the other girl was her friend
Evan: Nooo! He has more!!!
Jayne: Alright, I'll see you this Sunday for my birthday
Evan: Is there going to be CAKE!?
Jayne: Yes and Ice cream
Evan: Alright Jayne I love you! Bye!
Jayne: Love you too! Bye!

The Church Song
On my 22nd Birthday, Evan took a liking to our family piano. Unlike most children who will bang and slam on the keys in a frenzy, Evan gently touched the keys and kept a steady rhythm, it was simply adorable! He played us light tunes and melodies before we ate dinner. When Corey made a remark about one song sounding like a "Church Song", Evan made sure to remember it! Right after cake and ice cream, he sat back down at the piano and stated "Does anyone want to hear the church song?", he is such an artist!

mormor cookies...
When Evan was about 2 years old, right around Christmas time, he went to the fridge and said, "More more." I didn't know what he wanted more of so I opened the fridge and pointed to various things. He got very frustrated after rejecting everything in the fridge and I noticed him pointing upward. I felt terrible that I couldn't figure out what he wanted. He kept saying "More more" and then something that began with a "c" or a "k" that I couldn't understand. Finally, after several minutes and Evan losing his patience with me, I saw a tin of gingersnaps, way back on top of the fridge and realized he had been saying, "MorMor Cookies"--gingersnaps my Aunt Lydia had brought over.

Happy Happy Joy Joy!
Evan was very excited to deliver his letter to Santa this year. Nothing could get his spirits down this Christmas season, he was counting down the days and getting happier and happier. A few days before Christmas Evan was holding his hands up and counting the days till Christmas excitedly when his little sister Ava (who was obviously irritated by his happiness) looked and him and said "Oh yeah Evan, well I got bad news for you!" Evan and his mother were shocked and worried, "What?" they asked. "We're all out of popsicles", Ava said with satisfaction that the news had brought misery to the room.

The Saddest Photo
Yes, this is depressing, but I had to post it. This is a photo I found on one of Desirie's Albums. I don't know why he is so sad. Is it because no one will push him? Is he just having one of those days? Or maybe it's because the baby swing isn't as fun as it used to be. Whatever it was, lets hope he's feeling happier.

Mickey Mouse Chicken Nuggets
Anna had Swedish Meatballs for her Birthday dinner this year. We were all sitting at the table, Desirie, Kyle, Emilie, Ava, Evan, Anna, Corey and I. Evan disliked the meatballs and was making everyone aware of it.
Evan: I don't like these!
Desirie: Try and eat a few bites
Evan: No, I'm done
Jayne: Evan, you need to eat dinner
Evan: I can just eat later... at our house
Corey: You don't have any food at your house
Evan: Yeah we do, we got lots of food at home...we got MICKEY MOUSE CHICKEN NUGGETS!
(Everyone burst out in laughter) He said that last part so fast, it was hilarious!
Get Well Soon Evan!!
